Class Journals

Not every past journal is still here; in fact, there are one or two whole classes where the journals no longer exist on the web. However, the ones that are still live, or still maintained by the author, are still here. I have tried to include notes where possible. If your journal is missing, or you have a description you'd like me to include, please mail me.

Here are a few tips on finding useful info in ITP journals on stage.itp.nyu.edu

This google search will search all of the stage.itp.nyu.edu site for your keywords, so all journals on stage should yield results.

Current Classes:

I switched from having students run individual blogs to having class wikis in Fall 2005. Many of the students still kept blogs, which are linked into the wikis.

Fall 1999

  • Carol Crump check out her napkin ring switch on the final project.
  • Ruel Espejo
  • Isabel Froes
  • Tracy Gross fabulously chatty (and useful) notes on the construction of interactive sock puppets, and more
  • Jenniffer Lewin - Jen has since gone on to teach physical computing and other courses at ITP and elsewhere. Her website is a great resource on many issues.
  • Billy Taylor Tips and tricks for trouble shooting everything from a gas grill to a failing marriage. Also, fun with RJ-45's & Starbuck's Mint Tins; the case for cases; and the joys of angle iron.
